He explained that azaleas and camellias set their bud this year for the next spring bloom. “A lot of azaleas in people’s yards are tall and leggy. So you want to manicure that back to a nice size, look, and then don’t do any more pruning beyond that,” Brown explained. Brown also said that the warmer weather brings insects to your garden.
