Uninsured biker with 22 points on expired licence hit 130mph in M65 police chase

A motorbike rider has been arrested for dangerous driving after he hit 130mph on the M65, forcing police to call of a pursuit over safety fears.

The force said the officer was 'not one to be fooled' and arranged a stinger to be deployed as part of 'pre-emptive tactics' to prevent another chase. When the ride was stopped he was found to be disqualified until 2025 and with 22 points on his expired provisional licence.He was also uninsured and using cloned number plates. The rider was arrested for dangerous driving and other motoring offences and will appear at court in due course.
