Player ratings as Rooney got on the scoresheet at Old Trafford in Man United Legends' clash with Celtic
Headline act Wayne Rooney lived up to his billing in Manchester United Legends' 1-1 draw with Celtic Legends at Old Trafford on Saturday.
The match, in aid of the Manchester United Foundation, saw a number of United heroes take to the field. The likes of Dimitar Berbatov, Michael Carrick and Paul Scholes all played in the game. Gary Hooper levelled the scores in the second half to deny United the win after Rooney's first-half free-kick.
The game went to penalties and Danny Webber was the first to blink as his penalty was saved, with Celtic winning the shootout 5-4.Didn’t have much to do before being taken off midway through the first period but got a warm reception from supporters.Kept his shape well and got forward when needed. Looked slightly tired in the second half aside from a driving run on 70 minutes.
