A group of university of Chicago faculty and graduating seniors are expected to speak Friday morning.

It comes after a few seniors say they received an email saying degrees are being withheld while a disciplinary process plays out involving the recent Gaza solidarity encampment on campus. "Here at the University of Chicago, the free speech university, talking about Palestine is not free," graduating senior Youseff Hasweh said. "In fact, it comes with a very hefty, hefty price...My diploma doesn't matter when there are people in Palestine and in Gaza that will never walk a stage again."
