Ms. Karingula, pursuing a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management, was remembered by the university as an 'inspiration' and a 'source of positivity' who brightened the lives of those around her.
Mouhamad Shaker Ali Agha, the Programme Director of the Business Analysis and Consulting Programme at the University's Business School, expressed the university's deep sorrow and highlighted Ms. Karingula's passion for learning, kindness, and dedication. He extended his heartfelt thoughts to her family and friends during this difficult time. Ms. Karingula's cousin, Latha Reddy, described her as an 'ambitious' young woman who came to Glasgow with dreams of a bright future and making her family proud. Regrettably, her journey was cut short, leaving her family and loved ones devastated. Ms. Reddy shared that her family wishes to bring Ms. Karingula back to their home in Hyderabad, India, for her final rites and to honor her memory according to their traditions. A fundraising campaign launched to help repatriate Ms. Karingula to India exceeded its target, raising over £11,000. Ms. Reddy expressed her sincere gratitude to all the donors, emphasizing that their contributions would provide invaluable support to her family during this unimaginable loss.
