A fresh documentary centred on the tragic events of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami is set to air on National Geographic. The devastating catastrophe, which occurred over two decades ago, resulted in the loss of more than 225,000 lives.
The documentary is the brainchild of acclaimed producers Tanya Winston and Danny Horan, with direction by Daniel Bogado, renowned for his work on National Geographic's 9/11: One Day In America. The series provides a glimpse into the impact of the tsunami and the deadly path it carved across 14 countries. It also highlights acts of courage and sacrifice during the disaster, sharing stories of survivors and helpers, including scientists who worked tirelessly to alert the world about the unfolding catastrophe.
