Mayor Andrew Ginther proposed legislation to modernize Columbus' 70-year-old zoning code.
Keith Hall will officially start the position on April 8. He is succeeding Steve Farmer, who retired as police chief in February after 24 years of law enforcement experience and five years with the Upper Arlington Police Division.
City officials say Hall’s appointment followed a nationwide search process that was conducted by an Illinois-based firm, GovHR USA. The search attracted candidates from 12 states and finalists participated in interviews with city staff.
