An almond milk product which has been on sale at Woolworths has been recalled and an urgent health warning issued after a person was hospitalised after consuming the drink.
Residents in the state are being told not to consume the one litre Inside Out Unsweetened Almond Milk which has a use by date of March 1, 2023.
The product, which has been on sale at Woolworths, was recalled on Thursday by Food Standards Australia/New Zealand"due to potential biotoxin contamination". NSW Health has since said in a statement"initial investigations have confirmed the presence of botulinum toxin in a sample of the product". The confirmation came after a person who consumed the product was hospitalised after experiencing severe symptoms of botulism.
Inside Out Nutritious Goods Pty Ltd is recalling Inside Out Unsweetened Almond Milk Collagen + Calcuim + Prebiotics , due to potential biotoxin contamination .
