doesn't believe any racehorses or racing properties have been impacted by the sudden deaths of nearly a dozen horses.

A Racing Victoria spokesperson said they were aware of the "sudden deaths" and were liaising with Agriculture Victoria. "We have advised trainers to be vigilant whilst the cause are established and to contact their local veterinarian if they have a case of sudden death and or any sudden onset of illness in their horses."

Narre Warren North thoroughbred owner Nia Clarke told Nine radio station 3AW two of the deceased horses belonged to her, while another three of her horses have also fallen unwell.Clarke said the horses died within 24 hours of appearing unwell and suffered lethargy and spiking temperatures.
