The shimmery cups pose a health risk if microwaves, officials say Nearly half a million Starbucks-branded mugs have been recalled after people suffered burns or cuts. The recall is for four ceramic mugs with metallic coating manufactured by Nestlé USA and sold in the 2023 Starbucks Holiday gift sets. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall today, meaning officials feel the product ‘presents a significant risk to consumers’.

The Starbucks Holiday Gift Set was sold at Target stores There have been at least 12 instances of the mugs overheating or breaking ‘Consumers should immediately stop using the following recalled mugs and return them to the point of purchase or contact Nestlé USA for a full refund.’ The recall impacts nearly 440,500 products.
