A BUSY Glasgow city centre road is set to face severe disruption for a number of days.
Due to urgent sewer repairs by Scottish Water, Bothwell Street between Pitt Street and Douglas Street will be reduced to one lane.Labour leader calls for new routes in Glasgow Airport visit Traffic will still be able to drive down Bothwell Street from the M8 off-ramp but drivers heading up Pitt Street from Argyll Street will be diverted onto West George Street, across Blythswood Square and back down Blythswood Street.
Georgina Reid, Scottish Water’s corporate affairs manager in the west, said:"We appreciate there will be a degree of disruption and inconvenience, but these are essential works which we need to complete as quickly as possible. "We will do all that we can to mitigate against these and we would like to thank road users and residents for their patience and understanding."
