The Foreign Office has issued updated guidance for British holidaymakers planning to visit Turkey. The advice comes in response to incidents of people becoming seriously ill or dying after consuming illegally produced local spirits.
The Foreign Office website states: "In Turkey, including Ankara and Istanbul, people have died or suffered serious illness after drinking illegally produced local spirits and counterfeit bottles of branded alcohol.
