Donald Trump has threatened to impose a huge tariff on Mexican imports if the country doesn't stop migrants and drugs from entering the US.Speaking at a North Carolina campaign rally today, Mr Trump spoke about Mexico's new president Claudia Sheinbaum, who he says he hears is 'a very nice woman'.
He continued: 'I'm gonna inform her, on day one or sooner, that, if they don’t stop this onslaught of criminals and drugs coming into our country, I'm going to immediately impose a 25% tariff on everything they send in.'Mr Trump said the tariffs have a '100% chance of working' because if the 25% tariff doesn't work, he'll increase it to 50%, then 75%, and then 100%.
