Coronavirus cases in the US rose 131% in the week ending July 25 compared to the prior week

The US had the highest number of new coronavirus cases in the week ending July 25, compared to the rest of the world, as President Joe Biden urged Americans to get vaccinated for protection against the Delta variant

from the World Health Organization revealed that the US had 500,322 new cases in the week ending July 25.Globally, infections rose 8% to more than 3.8million cases. An average of about 540,000 daily cases were recorded in the past week, up from an average of 490,000 daily cases the prior week. The highest number of cases after the US were reported in Brazil, Indonesia, the UK and India, respectively.

The number of cases around the world has reached nearly 194million while the number of deaths has exceeded 4million.
