Eisenhower is powering its way along with its fleet to the Gulf before it has placed a powerful naval fleet in the Gulf as a precaution against any backlash from pro-Hamas nations,A security source in Washington said that the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower aircraft carrier is sailing to the Gulf of Oman in order to act as a deterrent against any retaliatory response from Middle Eastern states such as Iran if the Israeli Defense Force invades Gaza.

Justin Crump, chief executive of security and intelligence group Sibylline, added: “The US wants a bit more time to get its pieces on the board to try and mitigate any escalation from an Israeli ground assault on Gaza. A former senior official in Israel’s Mossad foreign intelligence service said Hamas will have prepared in-depth for an IDF ground invasion and is likely to be “surprised” that an Israeli operation has not yet taken place.
