The country was listed by the US CDC under “Level Four: Very High,” the topmost tier on its travel health notices along with the warning: “Avoid travel to the Philippines.”“If you must travel to the Philippines, make sure you are vaccinated and up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines,” it added. Still, the CDC reminded its citizens that even if they were up to date with their vaccines, they might remain at risk of getting and spreading COVID-19. It also issued a reminder that anyone 2 years or older should properly wear a well-fitting mask in indoor public spaces and follow all requirements in the Philippines.
