It’s really good,”And there was perhaps a suggestion that the coaching change had done some good for morale, too: “I’m enjoying it, I think we’re all smiling — we’re all enjoying it.”
In that April 2021 friendly against Sweden, the U.S. went down a goal early — though they’d find the equalizer soon enough. Back then, the team said the result was a “wake-up call” ahead of the Olympics, but read back some of the post-game comments and they still apply three years later in the exact same way.
