After years of being in development and various delays, Adult Swim has officially set an Uzumaki release date, confirming the series' release
The Uzumaki release date has been set for September 28, 2024, when the series will begin airing on Adult Swim. Episodes will also be available to stream the next day on Max, with English dub encores airing on Thursdays.
Alongside the release date, a new sneak peek video was released, highlighting the horror manga adaptation’s many shocking scenes to come. You can check out the new Uzumaki video below: Originally announced in 2019, the Uzumaki anime adaptation has gone through a few delays since its original announcement. The anime was previously supposed to release in 2021, but wasThe four-episode anime series will be directed by Hiroshi Nagahama with Hereditary‘s Colin Stetson set to compose the score. The series will also be produced by Drive Inc.
The anime is based on Junji Ito’s iconic manga series of the same name. Uzumaki is made up of three volumes first published in 1998. It follows the story of high school student Kirie Goshima, who lives in the cursed town of Kurôzu-cho — described as a small fogbound town located on the coast of Japan.Anthony Nash has been writing about games and the gaming industry for nearly a decade.
