While the coffee could have been better, the food was exceptional for the price
As the Christmas period draws near and many of us will be trudging through the shops in search of gifts for our loved ones, quite often we will need to stop for a caffeine break and a snack to refuel before facing even more queues and the inevitable road rage which comes part and parcel with the festivities.
I must admit, there is nothing I love more than a Christmas dinner, so when anything Christmas dinner themed is on the menu, you can rest assured that I will order it. As you can imagine, I was delighted to see a Festive Toastie on the menu and priced at only £3.25, I had to give it a go. There is no doubt that the toastie took centre stage, a culinary masterpiece presented on a fluffy white bloomer. Imagine a harmonious blend of smoked bacon, succulent turkey, flavourful stuffing, a tantalising hint of cranberry, velvety béchamel sauce, all crowned with a decadent layer of melted mozzarella.
What truly impressed me was the generous abundance of fillings within the toastie. The quality of ingredients surpassed expectations, rivalling, if not surpassing, those offered by some of the renowned coffee giants.
