The Association of Vehicle Importers and Distributors, Inc. ended 2021 with improved total sales of 58,916 units sold compared to the 51,851 units sold in the same period last year, or a 14 percent growth .echoes the year-end result of the joint Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines and Truck Manufacturers Association reportLight Commercial Vehicles recorded the largest segment market share with 73 percent.

In contrast, Passenger Cars remained affected with a 9 percent contraction in sales from 16,650 units sold in 2020 to 15,092 units in 2021. Despite the year-on-year drop of 28 percent, the segment’s month-on-month performance gradually improved by 3 percent. In the PC segment, Suzuki is in the lead with 8,079 units sold followed by Hyundai with 4,639 units sold.
