VENEZUELA is set to lose gold worth up to £1.22billion after failing to pay its debts to Citibank.

This move is part of a series of attempts by Mr Guaido to prevent Mr Maduro from selling off gold reserves to raise hard currency as sanctions increase and the country plunges into an even deeper economic crisis.
