The actress has filmed the new drama in the North East
Sheridan Smith is set to take centre stage in the new ''true'' crime drama, I Fought the Law, which has been filming in Newcastle. The cast includes actors from popular shows such as Vera, The Bill, and Doctor Who.
In addition to filming in the heart of Newcastle, scenes were also shot in nearby Shiremoor. Here, former Cilla and No Return actress Sheridan was seen delivering some emotionally charged moments as her character grappled with the distressing events. The cast boasts a wealth of acting talent, including former Coronation Street actor Jack James Ryan, known for his roles in Vera and the contentious ITV show Passenger, as well as Andrew Lancel, celebrated in the North East for his portrayal of Neil Manson in The Bill and Corrie's notorious Frank Foster.
Recently, the focus shifted to Jack's career following the announcement that esteemed Vera star Brenda Blethyn was stepping down from the series.
