Vernon Kay has been seen clapping back at those who were quick to share their anger at his trip to Wimbledon with his eldest daughter Phoebe. The father and daughter duo headed over to SW19 on Sunday to watch the men's singles final on Centre Court.
Before passing the trophy to Alcaraz, Kate commiserated and shook the hand of runner-up Novak Djokovic. Kate, alongside her daughter Charlotte, were greeted by British players Emma Raducanu, Sonay Kartal, Lily Miyazaki, Lucy Shuker and Flora Johnson as they arrived on the players’ lawn at Wimbledon before entering Centre Court to watch Alcaraz second consecutive win in the tournament.
After watching the two hours and 27 minutes worth of action as Alcaraz overcame a late wobble to claim a 6-2 6-2 7-6 victory over Djokovic, Vernon took to Instagram with a picture of himself looking the epitome of cool as he posed in a pair of aviator shades as well as a video of Alcaraz being presented with the prestigious trophy by Kate.
