For the Versace resort 2025 collection, Donatella Versace celebrated a young rebel attitude with a mix of preppy, mod vibes, equestrian nods, fun prints.
Fresh from receiving her new title of Grand Officer of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, one of the country’s highest honors, Donatella Versace presented aKeeping the collection tight, she conjured a lineup that was an invitation to express oneself with a dash of boldness, here delivered through a spontaneous approach to dressing and mixing of references that ranged from Mod vibes to equestrian tailoring and playful prints.Gang.
Versace focused the collection on a sense of softness and ease dictated by plush and stretchy textures and simple silhouettes. In the most wintery options, fuzzy oversized knitted sweaters were covered with a Dalmatian or leopard motif, which also popped up on the collars and trimmings of black tailored jackets that came cropped or in hourglass shapes. The equestrian reference was also strong in the sartorial pieces, which Versace paired with animalier printed stirrup leggings.
As the lineup progressed, the restrained color palette gave way to outbursts of vivid red and peridot hues, clearly targeting the summer delivery. Imbued with the same youthful attitude, juicy prints of strawberries, ladybug motifs and floral patterns were splashed on tops, skirts and frocks twisted and fastened with safety pins.
