According to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, Houston Pons, 43, was a Bexar County Sheriff's Office veteran of 16 years and was assigned to the Law Enforcement Bureau for West Patrol. Pons has been placed on unpaid administrative leave by the office's policies and procedures with Bexar County Civil Service rules.
