Vicky McClure being turned down for every single Peaky Blinders sounds like an early April Fool’s joke, but unbelievably it’s true.
The Line of Duty star is one of the UK’s most celebrated actors since breaking out in Shane Meadows’ This Is England, and is still arguably yet to put a foot wrong. While directors are surely queuing up to work with the 35-year-old, Vicky told Red Magazine that she’s lost out on a role for every series of Peaky Blinders so far and was turned down for 2015 Oscar nominee, Suffragette.
