Nigerian striker Victor Boniface has signed a contract extension with Bayer Leverkusen, keeping him at the club until summer 2029. Despite the new deal, reports suggest a move to Manchester United remains possible, with Boniface valued at £42 million. The striker has been in impressive form for Leverkusen, scoring 29 goals and providing 11 assists since his arrival in 2023.
Manchester United transfer 'target' Victor Boniface has seen his Bayer Leverkusen contract extended. The Nigeria striker has been linked with a move to Old Trafford as Ruben Amorim attempts to bolster his squad.
The report added that, however, a sale is still possible after this new deal - amid links with United. It's claimed that the former Royale Union Saint-Gilloise and Bodo/Glimt star would cost at least £42million. While transfer talk surrounds Boniface, he could make a return to action for Leverkusen against RB Leipzig on Saturday. "Yes. He is in the squad," Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso told a press conference when asked whether Boniface could start after missing the last 12 matches due to injury.
