SAN ANTONIO — For the first time in roughly five months, a cold front rolled through San Antonio on Thursday afternoon, dropping low temperatures into the 60s after the hottest late spring and summer on record, with 73 days over 100 degrees. This was a blessing for more than 13,000 fans who waited in long lines for the doors to open Saturday at the recently re-branded Frost Bank Center, the home court of the Spurs since 2002.
“It really warmed my heart to see that every time a player of our team stepped on the court they almost had a standing ovation,” Wembanyama said. “It just makes me want to give everything these people ask for, and everything they ask is just wins. Yeah, it just makes me want to give 100 percent on the court for the franchise and the fan base.
