Fashion designer and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham was honoured with an entrepreneur award for her 'innovation and dedication to the British and global fashion industry'
Victoria Beckham has been honoured with an entrepreneur award at the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year 2024 awards, presented to her by her daughter Harper. The former Spice Girl and fashion mogul was recognised for her "innovation and dedication to the British and global fashion industry" at a ceremony held at Claridge’s hotel in London on Tuesday 5 November.
On the red carpet, Dame Harriet expressed her gratitude for the recognition at 74 years old. She said: "There are fewer of us in the industry, we get less of a bite at the cherry, particularly when you get older". At the star-studded Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year Awards, literary icon Dame Jilly Cooper was honoured with the writer prize for "her extraordinary half-century contribution to literature" by Poldark heartthrob Aidan Turner, who appears in the Disney+ adaptation of her novel, Rivals.
Harper’s Bazaar UK's editor-in-chief Lydia Slater expressed her admiration, saying: "We are hugely privileged to have presented the Women of the Year Awards to this esteemed group of winners, all of whom have left us inspired by their trailblazing, impactful contribution and dedication to their respective fields."
