Victoria’s bail laws are under fire after a late-night crime spree that has traumatised young families. Masked intruders went house to house in Bayside, Melbourne, in search of soft targets to break into. In one home invasion, a thug snuck in through a pet door before letting his accomplices in. The gang found two targets within the space of two hours, striking first at Sandringham Rd in Sandringham about 3am and taking two cars as a family slept inside.

Victoria’s bail laws under fire after late-night burglary spree It is believed the same group then struck again in Kingston St in Hampton while another family, including two young children, were asleep. They stole two more cars along with cash and credit cards. One victim described the ordeal as a “big invasion of privacy”. “ very uneasy that they can get in so easily, that they don’t care,” he told 7NEWS. “According to the police, they’re constant reoffenders.
