This led Mr O’Brien to ask Ms Ambrosio how the state government would ensure the SEC was not simply investing in projects that would have happened anyway, or otherwise were not commercial enough to go ahead without “the taxpayer taking a risk” on them. “It will make a lot of difference because the fact is that we cannot do any of this alone,” Ms D’Ambrosio responded.
