The Victorian government will expand its pool of casual relief teachers to address chronic staff shortages at state schools, particularly in regional areas.
The Australian Education Union’s Victorian Branch Deputy President Justin Mullaly has called for more support for the casual
workforce, including directly employing relief teachers and ensuring fair pay for those employed through labor hiring agencies.
