Victoria's Government has reached a compromise to pass bail laws through State Parliament, that will include a review of the changes in two years' time.

Senior Victorian government and crossbench sources have confirmed to Sky News Australia there will be agreement on one Liberal proposal that would force a review of the updated bail laws no later than two years after they take effect with support from Labor and the Greens. The amendments were originally voted down before the bill passed the lower house – but it has now been introduced in the Victorian upper house where Labor does not have a majority.
