Police said the first attempted carjacking occurred in the 2800 block of Alki Avenue Southwest. Officials said a 38-year-old man unlocked his vehicle, and while opening the door, the suspects drove up in the aforementioned SUV and approached him. One suspect threatened the man and said that he was armed while demanding the man's car, police said.
The suspects told the victim to get out of her car, but she refused and drove to a safe location to call 911, police said.Seattle police said that they arrived at Beach Drive SW to a reported robbery and attempted carjacking of a 52-year-old woman and man. Officials said during the incident, two cell phones and keys were stolen by the suspects. The woman then pointed out a gray Hyundai to the police.
However, the car continued onto southbound I-5 and eventually came to a stop at South Corgiat Drive and Ursula Place South, police said.
