A disturbing video shows a driver trying to run over pedestrians outside a Jewish school in New York.

Asghar Ali, of Brooklyn, was charged with hate crimes connected to this case that has the community on edge. Ali then drove onto the sidewalk toward pedestrians outside the Mesivta Nachlas Yakov School in Canarsie, a neighborhood in Brooklyn.The National Desk,Ali is accused of targeting a group of men seen in the video scrambling to get away. They were identified by police as a 41-year-old male, a 44-year-old male and three 18-year-old males.The 58-year-old suspect fled the scene, but was arrested about two hours after NYPD arrived at the school.
He's facing a dozen charges, including attempted murder as a hate crime, attempted assault as a hate crime, menacing as a hate crime, attempted assault, attempted vehicular assault, reckless driving, reckless endangerment and aggravated assault.
