A schoolboy’s body was catapulted into the air and flipped four times after being hit by a driver speeding while fleeing police.
Footage of the crash and aftermath – including officers frantically performing CPR on the teenager as he lay stricken by the road – has been released after driver Mohammed Casim Hussain, 20, was jailed.supports HTML5 videoHussain was driving at speeds of nearly 60mph – well in excess of the 20mph limit – when he hit Ibrahim, who was crossing the road.
Hussain, from Southampton, Hampshire, later abandoned the car, which was seen with a smashed up windscreen, at a nearby school.Mohammed Casim Hussain, 20, has been jailed for 16 months Luton Crown Court heard Hussain went on to convince a family member to report the car as stolen.Sergeant James Thorne said: ‘Instead of pulling over in a safe and responsible way, Hussain decided to flee and drove in a dangerous manner that placed numerous people at risk of serious harm.
