Footage shows men laughing and smiling as a British caller is heard breaking down in tears over the scam
Fraudsters at an Indian call centre were shown laughing at their British victims’ misfortune after a hacker gained access to their CCTV and phone lines.
After being sent footage of the operation, BBC Panorama spoke to one victim who was told nine people had been using his identity to watch child abuse content. Dave Matika said the call ‘scared the life’ out of him and said he could ‘strangle the geezer’ who defrauded him at the centre in Gurugram, near Delhi.
The caller says: ‘Hey why are you crying man, you’re a very good man, why are you crying? Everything will be okay, don’t worry.
