A barangay official was killed while two others, including his wife, were injured in an attack in an upland village here, police reported on Saturday, Feb. 11.
ZAMBOANGA CITY –
Col. Alexander Lorenzo, Zamboanga City Police Office director, identified the fatality as Barangay Tolosa Councilor Mark Ryan Rodriguez, 29.Lorenzo said the incident took place around 9:30 p.m. in the village located 23 kilometers east of the city hall. Investigation showed Rodriguez and his family were having dinner outside their house when two unidentified gunmen on separate motorcycles repeatedly shot the victims and sped off.
