Community's shock after village post office sent homophobic notes about 'revolting' Pride flag
Residents of a small Preston village have spoken of their shock after their local post office received a letter telling them to take down a "revolting" Pride flag.
"We're a good community - very close knit and friendly, we all help each other out and it's nice place to live and there's never any trouble so for something like this to happen , it's struck a chord with a very accepting community." "It snowballed from there - so I said why don't we all get together for a photograph on Tuesday with our flags, thinking just a few villagers would join us and we can put the picture on our community page and hopefully the person sending the nasty letter sees that their view is very outweighed.
