A popular pub in a leafy Nottinghamshire village will soon be thoroughly refurbished under new plans to attract more visitors. The White Lion in Bramcote , Nottinghamshire , could be fully revamped inside after pub chain Greene King submitted plans for the changes to Broxtowe Borough Council.
Greene King representatives argued this extension was "much needed" as the pub was an "extremely popular destination food outlet". The outside of the Grade-II Listed building, which dates to the 18th century, will not be significantly changed, according to planning documents.A new catering kitchen would be created in a disused garage, with the existing small kitchen being stripped out and turned into a snug bar area.
