The village cafe champions fresh, local, produce, but say they need customers' help to protect them against spiralling costs
The owners of a much loved village tearooms have made a heartfelt plea to their customers - which they say could help them to keep trading amid rocketing costs.
Sharing a photo with a sign saying: "Cash Accepted" it explained that "Last month our credit card fees were the same as a member of staff."In the caption, they explained why cash is now king for their business and urged customers to "show them some love". It went on: "When you pay on card we don't get to keep the full amount.... with cash we retain 100 per cent which in turns help with the above and helps us to keep trading."The post swiftly racked up the likes, and other businesses and followers gave messages of support. Beau's Tearooms in Anglesey wrote: "We hear you".
