A Vinted conversation has sparked controversy after a shopper claimed their t-shirt arrived wrapped in a 'used nappy' – and the mix-up left the buyer 'retching' at the foul smell
The anonymous shopper had ordered a black ASOS crop top for £3 but was left horrified by what it was shipped in – and the resulting smell. Screenshots were shared to the X group DM Drama showing a conversation between the shopper and the seller, with post having since gone viral.
Initially the seller claimed they shipped the black crop top in a clean nappy, believing this would make it easier for the buyer to "repurpose" the packaging – but eventually they backed down. They replied: "I sent it in a clean nappy and nappy bag to recycle and repurpose it? It's not a used nappy? It would have been clean.
The shopper then attached a photo of the nappy along with the message: "There you go. Enough photo evidence?" "My husband must have put the used one back in the nappy packaging as we do that so we know when it's time to stock back up I am so sorry. Is there any way you could clean it the wash maybe? Or soak it."
