Virgil van Dijk was speaking ahead of Liverpool's match against Chelsea in the Premier League
Virgil van Dijk says Liverpool are hungry to build on an impressive start to the season under new head coach Arne Slot. The Dutchman knows the Reds are in for a tough test when they host Chelsea at Anfield . Slot's side have won six out of seven Premier League fixtures to sit top of the Premier League, they have also won two out of two Champions League matches and progressed to the fourth round of the league cup with victory over West Ham.
'There is no doubt that the next three weeks are going to challenge each and every one of us. Starting on Sunday, we will play seven games in the space of 20 days, across three competitions and against some very good teams. We are going to be tested, and we are going to need everyone at their very best. 'That, though, is exactly what we want. We want to be playing in big games.
