will be closing its London headquarters along with various stores across the UK, Paris, Milan, New York and Los Angeles to enable all their employees to attend Global Climate Strike marches.

According to the Global Climate Stike website: "This September, millions of us will walk out of our workplaces and homes to join young climate strikers on the streets and demand an end to the age of fossil fuels. Our house is on fire - let’s act like it. We demand climate justice for everyone."From the 20th September until the 27th, the strike will be taking place in demand to end fossil fuels and advocate for climate change.

The Westwood team believes their staff should have the chance to make a difference and join their fight for justice. In a press statement the company said, "this critical time reflects the fact that we recognise that ‘business as usual’ is no longer an option."Dame Westwood herself has been passionately making sustainability and business reform a priority for years now, and her last AW19 catwalk showed a collection filled with anti-consumerist and climate change slogans.
