It is not an exaggeration to say there’s never been an event like Vogue World : Paris. The 23 June style spectacular, which celebrated a century of French fashion and sport, is the first-ever runway show to be held in the Place Vendôme – where Gabrielle Chanel lived in an apartment at the Ritz Paris and where Elsa Schiaparelli housed her atelier. 37,673 square feet of backstage, which event production company Bureau Betak changed the configuration of every 12 hours to optimise space. 5,000 Ladurée macrons served at fittings and to guests. 683 looks called in for the show: 283 for models, including 3 Chanel Evening dresses from 1924, 3 Dior “Bar” suits by Maria Grazia Chiuri, and 2 recreated gowns from Cristobal Balenciaga's first Paris collection. 700 action items on Bureau Betak’s production checklist to manage the show.
