The AFL legend and former Australian on the year says Yes campaigners cannot be complacent about unanswered questions on the Voice to parliament.
AFL legend and former Australian of the year Adam Goodes says supporters of the Voice need to listen carefully to the questions average voters have ahead of the national vote, expected around mid-October.
Goodes was speaking alongside Yes campaigners Noel Pearson and Dean Parkin as Qantas unveiled special livery on three planes in support of the Voice,Qantas has added Yes23 campaign logos to a Boeing 737, a QantasLink Dash 8 Turboprop and a Jetstar Airbus A320.Chief executive Alan Joyce acknowledged some voters did not support the Voice, including some Qantas staff and frequent flyers. Uluru Dialogue and Yes23 campaigners will be given sponsored travel for the duration of the campaign.
Goodes said Yes campaigners could not be complacent about unanswered questions on the Voice to parliament, and warned supporters not to remain on the sidelines ahead of the referendum vote.The Adnyamathanha man and dual Brownlow medallist said constitutional recognition of Indigenous Australians would bring the country into the 21st century.
