In response to Sunday’s open letter, Acting Prime Minister Richard Marles said the Australian people got the referendum response right.“The government absolutely accepts the result of the referendum and so we will not be moving forward with constitutional recognition, that is clearly the decision that the Australian people have made,” he said.
