Alexander Volkanovski was humble in the octagon after losing the title fight to Islam Makhachev.
The Perth crowd largely booed the victor after he was awarded the win, but Volkanovski urged the fans to applaud his rival."A lot of people are going to be happy with that, because they didn't give me a chance," Volkanovski said."But it was a fun fight. Maybe I could have capitalised on some positions a bit more, I left it a little late, but what do you do.
"He didn't respect my wrestling grappling, and maybe I didn't respect his striking enough either, because he landed some shots."
