Will you vote?
Voters will head to the polls in less than six weeks' time for the local elections. Polling stations will be open across Nottinghamshire for people to have their say.
The makeup of councils across the county could change with nine city, district or borough councils holding elections on Thursday, May 4. They are Nottingham City Council, Ashfield District Council, Bassetlaw District Council, Broxtowe District Council, Gedling District Council, Mansfield District Council, Newark and Sherwood District Council, and Rushcliffe Borough Council.
This year's elections are not tied in with a general election. The next general election is due to be held not before January 24, 2025, after the snap general election in December 2019.Polling stations across Nottinghamshire will be open from 7am until 10pm on Thursday, May 4. Votes will be counted either overnight on Thursday, May 4, into Friday May 5, or during the day of May 5.
Voters will also need to show photo ID to vote. This can include a UK driving licence or a UK passport.If you can't see the poll, below, click here.
