Elections generally produce a lot of questions from where you can register to where to drop that ballot and of course, who to vote for.

“Yeah, my friends and I talk about who were voting for and why and make sure that everybody fills out their ballots,” said Edith Andersen, after dropping her ballot in a collection box, outside Metropolitan Market on Mercer Street in Seattle.“I got back into town just in time to do this. Yeah no rhyme or reason about it, just when I could get out,” she said, giddy at completing the privilege of voting.

Waiting until election day is a common theme for thousands of people as they choose to drive past a collection box after work. From your home to a collection or mailbox, a ballot's next step is to be sorted, first by machine, then by human eyes. That worker told KOMO News a few hours earlier that she found a mammogram reminder in the envelope instead of a ballot. That's a mistake that cannot be fixed, but others can.

In that case, the ballot is included in voter turnout numbers, but the candidate does not get your vote.
